Hello my name is Dara

I am computer illiterate and get confused real fast so with that being said can...can anyone explain to me why my laptop says  (not responding) sometimes..usually after it says that it says something about "closing the script" "debugging the script" etc...any help with this would sooo appreciated. Thank you in advance.
