i just received a pop-up saying that my computer had a virus that i should call this number

This is a scam
 
The best thing to do is to submit a Trouble Ticket and ask Webroot Support to take a look and remove these for you.  There is NO CHARGE for this for valid WSA license holder

Don't call the phone number. instead, report the phone number to Callercenter.com and contribute to data collection against phone scams. This will serve as a warning to others. When people know, they're more likely to avoid falling for the scheme.
