Hi all,
ATM I am a coulpe of days into my 14 day free evaluation of WSA AV. So far my experience is good. I like the way it works, the ease on resources, the low-threshold support, the information on the site and the fact that there seems to be an active user base.
There is one thing however that I am not clear about. and that is the effectiveness of WSA. Either the product is too unknown, or its marketing is simply less effective than its siblings (in itself not a bad thing), but I have a hard time getting some data on the performance of WSA as an AV program. How many threats does it find, tests, comparisons etc.
Anywhere I can find this information?
Paul

Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the info. I especially liked the link about the 'suspiciously fast scan' :-)
Webroot has a bit of a hidden diamond feeling over it. The things I learned about it are positive. The few test reults that are there are good. Yet few people know the product.
The principle of operation (only act when a file is opened / run) is great. I never understood the 'scan everything every week' fetish of the majority of the competition.
So I have decided to make Webroot my next AV tool. Let's see if they have a nice offer for 5 PC's for 2 years :-)
Regards,
Paul

Hi Paulussie
You are certainly most welcome. I don't think you'll be sorry to of chosen Webroot as your Security AV. I've had Webroot for 3 1/2 years on 5 PCs and have never looked back.
😉
