Setup to auto scan 1x/day, but only quarrentines files, waiting for me to confirm deletion. Can I setup Webroot to automatically delete the virus files instead of just quarrentine?  My Norton allowed this feature, but cant find w/Webroot. Thanks.

Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Really it's best that you have control of deleting files I don't know if you heard some other AV's were auto deleteing system files which would brick the users systems that is why Webroot does it this way and it's easy to empty quarrentine please see here: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/SecureAnywhere/PC/WSA_PC_Help.htm#C5_Quarantine/CH5a_ManagingQuarantine.htm

Thanks,

Daniel 😉
Here is some info about other AV's deleting system files: https://www.google.com/search?q=AV%27s+were+auto+deleteing+system+files&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=rcs&gfe_rd=cr&ei=1VQGVMWIOMiD8QfYt4CIAg#channel=rcs&q=antivirus+deleted+system+files&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official

Thanks,

I recently upgraded and during the download and removal of the old webroot a virus was able to prevent download of the new webroot. Will you send new programs to me at [contact info removed]. Also is there a web patch to fix the problem

Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

I assume you are talking about the 2011 and earlier versions? If so use this Uninstaller only for the 2011 and earlier versions!

Webroot Legacy Programs Remover 2011 and Earlier:

http://download.webroot.com/WRUpgradeTool.exe

Then download the new 2014 version here:

Standard Download Link PC:

http://anywhere.webrootcloudav.com/zerol/wsainstall.exe

But if you have a Best Buy Subscrition use this download:

Best Buy for Subscription Download Link:

http://anywhere.webrootcloudav.com/zerol/wsabbs2.exe

And let us know how it goes and it's best to do the Uninstall of both and reboot then install the 2014 version and enter your keycode during install!

Thanks,

Daniel ;)
