I am a user of WebRoot Complete. Anything else you need to know about me related to my request, please ask.
I have very limited technical knowledge.
What I thought was a ligitimate need to update an ADOBE app I ended up with "secure search.....) which Chrome says is not a secure search. In my finder window under all files is the following: Flash Player (1).dmg I have automatic download to update apps.
Is it safe to delete this imposter?
Thanks

The latest version of Flash Player was already installed. I did not know at the time . The system did not allow the FP to install. Shortly after the "Safe Search" replaced the Chrome Secure search. It assigned itself as the Default search engine. My question is " can I delete the September 8,2017 Flash Player (1) .dmg imposter?
Hello handson, Welcome to the Webroot Community Forum. :D
I just did a Google Search on "makeymcmacface". Since you are limited in technical knowledge I would let the Webroot Experts look into this. I would keep the Flash Player (1).dmg where it is for now and let Webroot Team see what actually was downloaded to your Mac. Please submit a Support Ticket or Contact Webroot Support to sort this problem.
EDIT: Make sure you tell Support that you are running a Mac. ;)
HTH,
Dave.
