Can you address the issue that a lot of our clients have been seeing and has been seemingly addressed elsewhere?

Issue:A lot of our clients Webroot AV updated last night/today to 9.0.24.37 and their PCs have been slowed to a crawl this morning while updating automatically. We also noticed if you rebooted too quickly, users could type their password in and would be left with a black screen for up to 5 minutes while the PC logged in.

Posted a reply to the reddit post, and I'll paste it here as well:

"I spoke with our support team and they are recommending that you run another scan. Would you mind attempting that and letting me know if it resolves the issue?"

Just installed this from downloading the exe file from the console and killed my managing directors PC/surface pro running 8.1.
Cant even open the surface pro1 with hundreds and hundreds of rundll32.exes running.

Cant even get into it log enough to get on the network and pull the config to uninstall.
I did eventually manage to do a scan but that failed as well.

Not good, not happy

4 hours down time so far, nothing can seem to fix it.
Tried uninstalling from the cloud, that keeps failing.
Cant get into safemode because it locks up before i can even try and use the supid windows 8.1 Advanced startup.

I have now been told we wont be renewing it next year because of this so good stuff team, pushed us over the edge and with your miss hap last year deleting windows files it might be the right move.

ESET here we come in 2019!

Hi there John,

Sorry you've had a rough time with Webroot. We appreciate all your patience in this ordeal.

Remember you can always Contact the Support Team and they'd definitely get you back up and running. Free of charge

That's great that you could get into safe mode and roll the system back.

Again we apologize for the inconveniences.

Thanks,

@khashab2010  Like I said it’s outdated already as WSA keeps updating the Client all the time: https://answers.webroot.com/Webroot/ukp.aspx?pid=12&app=vw&vw=1&login=1&json=1&solutionid=857
