My ERP software is faitly limited when it comes to hostnames and DNS.  I need to add a host to the 'host' file, but Webroot doesnt allow that edit from the command line.  Is it possible to shutdown Endpoint Security make my edits and and then restart via the CLI?

Hi @ - I checked with support and this is actually a policy setting that you can control, so you can open up the ability for programs to modify the HOSTS file without needing to shutdown protection. Our Guides for editing policies will discuss this setting.
If you need help modifying the policy, or prefer to temporarily disable Webroot for a one-time HOSTS modification and need help using the Unmanaged Policy to do so, please submit a support ticket and our team will be happy to help.
