Hi all,
We run Webroot on some servers. There are issues with not being able to exculde directories from scans so its not suitable for all servers. However we have recently trialed it on Windows 2012 r2 Terminal servers.
We have found that Webroot kills the performance of terninal servers. These servers are highly spec'ed with cpu, and high ram. They run very well before we install Webroot but once that is installed it makes the servers very sluggish for users.
Often it seems to be users who are using web based apps, or large files. If there was a way to exclude certian files or directories from scanning it may help, but I'm not sure about web apps.
For every user that logs onto the terminal server a new instance of Webroot starts, I wonder if these individula instances conflict with each other.
Does anyone have any experience with making making webroot suitable to run on a terminal or citrix server?
Thanks, Simon.
