DattoCon 2025 brought together more than 2,200 MSPs, IT professionals, and channel partners at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach to focus on a clear message: AI-powered automation is becoming the new competitive advantage.

Across sessions, booths, and networking events, the recurring theme was simple - MSPs that embrace intelligent automation will thrive, while those who resist risk competing only on price. The event reflected a broader shift in how managed service providers view their role in driving business outcomes.

Back at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, DattoCon 2025 continued its tradition of blending business with atmosphere. The oceanfront setting, warm October weather, and open layout created the right mix of focus and collaboration.

EXPO HALL & BOOTH ACTIVITIES

The expo hall hosted more than 80 vendors showcasing their latest innovations, with a clear emphasis on measurable outcomes instead of feature lists.

At Booth #105, the OpenText Cybersecurity team had a steady flow of visitors throughout the event. Conversations focused on how MSPs can strengthen their managed security offerings by integrating AI-driven intelligence into their service delivery.

  • Protect against AI-driven threats using zero-trust frameworks that close identity gaps and reduce attack surfaces

  • Detect threats faster with AI-powered analytics built on the same global threat intelligence that most of the industry relies on

  • Respond with precision and speed to minimize downtime, reduce compliance risks, and restore business operations quickly

Attendees were particularly interested in how OpenText Cybersecurity’s intelligence network helps partners stay ahead of evolving attacks while automating protection and response at scale.

GIVEAWAYS & BOOTH BUZZ

The booth’s Plinko game turned out to be a hit, offering a lighthearted way to start serious discussions about cybersecurity strategy while keeping the networking flow natural. The dog toy was surprisingly one of the more popular prizes attendees wanted to win. 🐕

Our giveaways also sparked plenty of smiles. The “I Want My MDR” magnets and shirts we wore, and the “It’s Always DNS” design were crowd favorites. Attendees appreciated the humor and instantly got the references. I was even stopped while leaving my hotel room to ask for a T-shirt 😅

PARTNER CONNECTIONS

Beyond the sessions and expo floor, the real value of DattoCon 2025 came from the conversations shared over dinner tables and late-night meetups. Partners, peers, and new faces exchanged ideas about automation, security, and the future of managed services.

The atmosphere was collaborative and open, reflecting what makes this community strong. Many attendees agreed that while AI and innovation dominated the agenda, the true highlight was reconnecting with the people driving the industry forward.

Look at that steak

CEO Keynote: Rania Succar’s Vision for Kaseya

Rania Succar delivered her first U.S. keynote as Kaseya’s CEO, outlining four principles guiding the company’s direction:

  1. Customer outcomes above all – focusing on revenue growth, margin expansion, and client success

  2. Innovation that delivers – moving beyond buzzwords to measurable business results

  3. Frictionless experiences – simplifying complex IT operations

  4. Community-powered growth – leveraging the shared expertise of the MSP community

Her remarks underscored a clear expectation for the future: MSPs must evolve from technical providers into strategic advisors who help clients build resilience and long-term value.

Major Product Announcements

Several announcements reinforced Kaseya’s focus on automation and scalability:

  • Datto SIRIS 6: Enterprise-grade backup power at SMB-friendly pricing

  • Datto Backup for Microsoft Entra ID: Purpose-built identity data protection for faster recovery

  • INKY Acquisition: AI-powered email security that adapts to new phishing techniques

  • Cyber Resiliency Platform Preview: A unified solution launching April 2026 with flexible pricing and pooled storage

Each announcement tied back to one core idea: giving MSPs tools that scale their service without scaling their workforce.

Golden Datto Awards

The Golden Datto Awards, hosted by Dan Tomaszewski, EVP of Channel at Kaseya, celebrated excellence across the MSP community. Out of more than 1,000 nominations, four standout leaders were recognized:

  • MSP Innovator: John Guillaume, Dynamic Quest

  • MSP Rising Star: Christopher Sachse, Network Coverage LLC

  • MSP Community Leader: Craig Bachelor, Bachelor Technologies

  • MSP of the Year: Sean Fullerton, NSN Management

Tomaszewski highlighted the industry’s strength as one built on resilience, generosity, and collaboration when it matters most.

Looking Ahead

Kaseya announced that DattoCon 2025 will be the final U.S. edition of this long-running event. Future North American gatherings will be unified under Kaseya Connect in Las Vegas, combining the best of both experiences. International DattoCon events will continue as part of Kaseya’s global community focus.

Key Takeaways

DattoCon 2025 made one point clear: the MSP industry is changing fast. Providers that evolve from tactical service delivery to strategic, AI-driven business partnerships will define the next chapter of managed services.

While technology remains the foundation, it was the collaboration, shared learning, and community engagement that gave this year’s event its real momentum.
