brand new Antivirus expired
+1Someone gave me an antivirus and I think it's old so not sure but I put in the code and it's expired is the reason because its old?

If the code has not been previously used it should be okay.
I purchased several licences (Codes) from a reseller a few years ago they were on special and as one expires I just activate a new licence (Code).
I would contact Webroot support to confirm the status of the code you were given.
