Is there a list of the malware that Webroot takes care of so that I can do a quick check and (hopefully) reassure a user that indeed Webroot deals with it?

That implies that the answer is "No." Thanks for the list link. I guess there could be legal implications for Webroot to publish such a list.

@cranhike right there is no list link but they did have one before Webroot Acquired Prevx back in Nov 2010. You can check MD5 Hashes or upload files and even check for bad URL's here one at a time: http://snup.webrootcloudav.com/SkyStoreFileUploader/upload.aspx but sorry that's it!
