Lately Webroot has been detecting printdialog.exe as a trojan virus. All certificates, date stamps check out as Microsoft’s software. Windows 11 not to long ago changed the print structure. Has anyone else run across this issue?

Thank you ...

Hello @ClarkR

Hello @ClarkR

Did you get your issue sorted?

Thanks,

I think, I just added it to monitor list. It all checks out for microsoft’s credentials and installation path. Since I haven't installed any new hardware or software in several months and the notice just started coming up recently. Thanks...

@ClarkR Can you supply an MD5 hash of the file so we can check? Or scan the file on VirusTotal and post the link of the results.

Thanks,

Please advise if anything further is needed, thank you.

Side Note. I’m on the Windows Insider program, Dev Channel in case that has any bearing on this.

Hello @ClarkR

Yes I see and again contact Webroot support and tell them what you are doing because it’s affecting many other Webroot users as you can see in my screen shot! @DanP can you help out here as well?

Thanks and I even contacted Webroot support.

Hello @ClarkR

This has been corrected. It is always best to contact support for any false positives you see.

Thanks,

-Dan

Hello @ClarkR

I’m going to close this thread and if you see any False Positives please contact Webroot Support Directly and they will sort it out for you because your running the Windows Insider program, Dev Channel, 3 of Mods use to be Windows Insider MVP’s so we don’t run the insider builds anymore.
