False Warning From Webroot About Phishing Sites

While browsing in the website “The Conservative Treehouse” I repeatedly keep getting pop-up warnings, supposedly from Webroot, that it has blocked the following website as a suspected phishing site: “safebytetech.live”. Can anyone advise about this?

Hi @joeg

I Google’d that site and can visit it just fine with multiple protections in place from OpenText. The site itself is fine. There might be a component or a link on that site that, if you clicked, could be malicious.

safebytetech.live domain IS indeed a phishing domain and is listed on multiple Threat Intelligence sources.

I would ensure that you also have a good pop up blocker like ublock origin lite installed on your browsers as an extension alongside your Webroot/OpenText products.

You can also reach out to support if you have other questions.

Cheers

Hello  jhartnerd123

Thank you very much for your reply and your suggestions. Can I get unblock origin lite from the Windows store?

Thanks again

Hello @joeg

Just to confirm this site is safe: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/

This one is not!   http://safebytetech.live/

@joeg

You can search for ublock origin lite (NOT unblock origin) from the extensions stores in Chrome/Edge etc…
