We recently sat down with our new President and CEO, Mike Potts to talk about the state of cybersecurity and why he joined Webroot. Below is his message to the community.

Hello, Webroot Community! I’m thrilled to join the team as CEO at such an exciting time in its history.

Nothing makes me more excited than working with smart people and helping them succeed. The Webroot team is amazing…including you. I couldn’t ask for a better group of smart, honest customers to help us understand the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape.

I love the dialogue that takes place every day on this platform, and I can see the passion this group brings to cybersecurity. We will continue to keep our PUGs up-to-date on what’s happening at Webroot and solicit your feedback as we continue to focus on delivering best-in-class endpoint, network, threat intelligence, and security awareness solutions.

You can read more about my focus for the first few months on our blog

Cheers, Mike

When will you fix WRSA so it can use fixed IP's to make a connection for systems behind Cisco firewalls that can't do wildcard domains for access lists?  We block all access to the internet without a proxy so clients can't get out without going over the proxy.

If the proxy settings were more stable, it would not be an issue. But the proxy settings seem to be insufficient to allow the client to connect.

This would make the product much more usable for larger companies that do this sort of thing.

Read the blog post. Would love to know more about the embedded tech you guys are getting into. Scaling the company is good if done along the same course. Growth for the sake of impressive numbers is not what we need. Here is hoping!

Always a worrying time when there is management changes, but here’s hoping you listen to the staff as well as your customers on what direction to go!

Welcome sir. All I ask is please don't do what others have done and take a great company and product and ruin it.
