Subscriptions aren't made automatically in Ideas Exchange forum

I missed a few threads in Ideas Exchange forum because of subscriptions weren't made automatically when I replied. It means that I had to add subscriptions manually for all threads in Ideas Exchange where I had posted replies.

However this is only happening in Ideas forum. In all other forums here on the Community subscriptions are made automatically when I make replies. To refute doubts, I have enabled "Automatically subscribe me to topics I participate in" in My Settings.

Is it a feature of Ideas forum or something is not working correctly on my end?

It's true that the logic that determines what constitutes "a thread," is not inclusive of "ideas," which could be considered "thread" in their own right.  I'll see if there is anything we can do about this, but in the meantime you could subscribe to the ideas exchange to be alerted of all new activity.  You would click "Ideas Exchange Options > Subscribe."

Thanks Jim for the clarification. I thought that subscriptions in "ideas" are handled in the same way like in "forum threads".
