Ropemaker Allows Attackers to Change the Content of an Email—After It's Delivered
A new email exploit, dubbed Ropemaker, allows a malicious actor to edit the content in an email—after it’s been delivered to the recipient and made it through the necessary filters.
For instance, an attacker could swap a benign URL with a malicious one in an email already delivered to an inbox, or edit any text in the body of an email whenever they want—all without direct access to that inbox.

Government Demands 1.3 Million IP Addresses of Anti-Trump Website Visitors
The US Department of Justice has demanded for information on visitors of an anti-Trump website from an online web hosting provider. In a blog post today, DreamHost shared that for several months now it has been involved in a legal battle with the Justice Department over records on visitors to disruptj20.org. The site described itself as a group of activists “building the framework needed for mass protests to shut down the inauguration of Donald Trump and planning widespread direct actions to make that happen.”

PlayStation Accounts Hacked, PSN Database Allegedly Stolen
The official Twitter and Facebook PlayStation accounts were compromised late Sunday by hacking group OurMine, with the attackers claiming they had managed to get access to a PSN database.
While no leaks have happened since the breach was announced, OurMine hackers claim they won't be releasing any details online, meaning that users should be fine unless the attackers change their mind. For the time being, however, a password reset could be a good idea to remain secure.

NASA Launches First Cordless Satellite
CAPE CANAVERAL, FL—In what experts are calling a breakthrough achievement that is poised to revolutionize American space exploration and telecommunications, NASA announced Friday it has successfully launched its first cordless satellite into orbit. “Launch and deployment went smoothly, and now our Wireless 1 craft appears to be operating and communicating nominally without the aid of a standard 22,000-mile satellite cable,” said Joint Agency Satellite Division director Sandra Smalley, explaining that, for the first time ever, a NASA satellite has been able to maintain contact with crew on the ground without remaining directly plugged into a computer and energy source at its launchpad. “We’ve come a long way since 1958, back when our satellites could only complete one or two orbits before their cords got wrapped around the earth and they plummeted back down to the ground. Now, with this revolutionary new technology, we actually have the potential to completely eliminate the labor-intensive task of untangling satellites whose cables have crossed paths and become tied in knots.” If successful, Smalley said the advances in cordless technology should be transferrable to the agency’s space probes as well, freeing NASA from having to continuously unspool billions of miles of wire as it has been doing for decades with Voyager 1 and 2.Check out our favorite credible source The Onion
