I received a phone call from someone representing Microsoft stating I have been having an update problem with my computer and some items on my computer were not working. toll free phone number 1-888-274-5606. strange, as the person needed to get into my computer to correct the problem with recent updates. I asked for proof they were Microsoft employee and he said my idenity was someone other than me. Down in Texas. I am in Michigan.
Does Microsoft do this sort of thing officially?
Does Microsoft call computer owners and try to get into personal computers?

If you clicked anything links, allowed them to remote into your computer, or went to any web sites please submit a Trouble Ticket ASAP. (Now would be a good idea....)
