May I ask if you are using a PC or a Mac? As I'm not having any issues with Google Earth on my Mac. If you could explain what you mean by permissions we could address this. Are you asking about the Business Webroot version?

Are you on a business computer or a computer with multiple Windows accounts?  You may need to make sure that you are logged into a Windows user profile that has Admin rights to install software.
