Apparently, Windows Vista too has some loyal users despite being glitchy from the beginning and now Firefox has announced that the “Firefox version 52” will be the last complete update for Windows XP and Windows Vista. That said security updates will still be released but no new feature will make it to Windows XP or Windows Vista.

Firefox security updates for XP and Vista users will continue until September 2017, although new features will not be offered. In mid-2017, a final support end date will be announced based on the number of users still on Windows XP and Vista, says the blog post.

Well, I am surprised that they have been supported for so long...and to be honest I have little sympathy for those still on Vista (but a little more for those on XP, even though Windows 10 is a perfectly good, nay even better, replacement).

Time to move on.
