Don't know the product but it looks quite shady... On some of the fora i goodled in under 10 minutes not a lot of people are having happy thoughts about it. Maybe some of the experts have heard of it.
Hi PoPCorn,
I also Googled this ? and found the same resuts a s you. I have not heard of this program to tell you the truth. I use CCleaner if anything. Which is more reputable. It's by.piriform.com.

Hi PoPCorn
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Slimware Utilities is a legitimate purveyor of utilities software. Some have questioned their marketing methods but I have, in the past, used it's SlimCleaner application and that has worked well as far as I am concerned.
In terms of FixCleaner and its value to your & your system...well, that is a moot point. If you do not want the application then it is simply a case of uninstalling it using the standard And & Remove an Applic ation applet from the Windows Control Panel.
Hope that helps?

Hi Gold VIP,
Yes, that is what I am afraid of, sometimes I wonder whether these pc cleaners are just fake. How does one know?
I do have the Fix Cleaner on my computer never had any problems with it but does not mean I won't in the future.
Thanks for your reply

The only 2 cleaners I use is WSA's Optimizer and CCleaner as it's a very light reg cleaner but otherwise stay away from them as they can do more damage than good IMO and many others feel the same way!

Thanks for your input, I use CCleaner and WSA, I had Fix Cleaner before I subscribe to WSA.
Which version of WSA do you have? http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/ and or: http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/gamer-av@ wrote:

I actually used SlimCleaner for a number of years with no ill effects whatsoever but thereafter moved over to using CCleaner when the need arises, toegther with a couple of other good and stable cleaners.
Not sure why Slimware have such negative press as they are certainly not the worst by far when it comes to utilities that can brick ones system...believe you me I have seen some that would make your toes curl.
But the key thing when using any such applciation/utility is to make sure that you at least make a System Restore Point first and better still take an image of your hard drive/SSD.

😃 Thank you, there is lot of mix reviews regarding this FixCleaner. It pays to be safe then sorry, always make a system restore point.
That is as may be but there are some very reputable online sites that have reviewed their products and rated them highly. As I said it is a moot point point as to whether they are any worse than any other software crew in this market and also whether the negative reaction to them is justified or not.@ wrote:
Well again IMO!
Personally I have had no negative experiences with their software.

Beta Testers test new versions of WSA before it''s released to all consumers and we look and check for bugs which is very rare. To join post in here: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Announcements-and-Release-Notes/Looking-for-Webroot-Beta-testers/td-p/175350
Yes it's a AV only
