I am considering getting hotspot shield to use on my computers.  I already have webroot, and am wondering if anyone has experience with using this protection, and what the pros and cons are of it.   Here is the link:

Well I can't comment on that service but it's good to have a VPN for a laptop and if you use Hot Spots(cafe) or travel and stay in a hotel as there networks can't be trusted it's just another good layer of security. And WOT give's it a Green light http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/www.hsselite.com

Thanks, we don't travel much, just go for local day trips, but I am finding more and more places are providing free wifi, including our doctors offices at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.  I am wondering if it is a good idea if you use a wireless router at home as well. The way I use it is unplug it when I am not using it, and plug it in when we want to use it in the house.
