how is pop up blocker turned off?

Hello billeifus, welcome to the Community!
WSA does not contain a pop-up blocker, so you will need to check your browser settings and extensions to see if you have one enabled there.
You can TRY to disable WSA to see if that will work, but my guess is that WSA is not causing the issue with the LogMeIn session to Geek Squad. As a former Geek Squad agent who worked in a high esclations postition in the Subscription Software program, I witnessed thousands of remote sessions ongoing with Webroot cutomers who did NOT have to turn off WSA in order to establish the session or change any WSA settings.
Which browser are you using? If you are not able to locate what is blocking the pop up and If you are using IE, you might consider downloading and installing either Chrome or Firefox and NOT adjusting ANY settings or downloading any utilities for them. If you have an added pop up blocker added to IE there is a chance that it will not automatically install into Chrome or Firefox upon install. (When you install either of those, and an extension like a pop up blocker wants to engage, you WILL get a notice of that which you can refuse.)
