While Photos for macOS has improved considerably since its introduction several years ago, it still has some “third rail” features that you need to be careful about touching because they could be painful to fix. The worst of these is Image > Adjust Date and Time.
Thanks again for another tip. I really need to sort out all my digital photos. But id need a Sabbatical to have to time to go through them all!

I reckon I'll never get round to doing this as It’ll take so long and ive put up with it for this long anyway.
Maybe one day though it’ll be something that annoys me (or the wife) enough to fix.
I can only imagine what that person felt who had changed the date on 27,000 photos only to realise they had set the date to 2,000 years later!
