I have windows 10 home. My windows firewall will not turn on. I have tried the usual steps and get

I have windows 10 home. My windows firewall will not turn on. I have tried the usual steps and get
error message 0x8007042c.   
i tried starting window firewall services. they were not running.i tried restarting both automatic and manual. meaasge
windows could not start the windows fiewall service on local computer. error 1068: the dependency service or group failed to start.
BFE had the same issue

    Did you do this below by chance?
     
    You can start the Windows Firewall services manually and make sure that they start automatically in the future. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start , and then type Services in the Search box.
    2. Right-click Services. and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted, enter your administrator user name and password, and then press Enter.
    3. Scroll until you see Windows Firewall, and then double-click Windows Firewall. [img]https://support.microsoft.com/Library/Images/2728550.png[/img]
    4. Click the Startup type box,and then click Automatic. [img]https://support.microsoft.com/Library/Images/2687680.png[/img]
    5. If Service status is Stopped, click Start.
    6. Click Apply, and then click OK.
    7. Scroll until you see Base Filtering Engine, and then double-click Base Filtering Engine.

    9. Click Apply, and then click OK.
    10. Restart Windows and confirm whether Windows Firewall is enabled.
