Intel has revealed that its new Core M processor will be inside a number of upcoming Windows 8.1 notebook-tablet hybrid products and ultrabooks that are scheduled to be released later this year.
The Core M processor is also the first chip from Intel that will use its long awaited, and long delayed, Broadwell architecture. The company said that Core M processors are 50 percent smaller and will offer up to 20 percent more battery life than its previous generation of chips. Clock speeds will be between 2.0 and 2.6 GHz, depending on which version of the Core M chip is used.
