Any ideas why Explorer is suddenly automatically deleting my Browsing history? Not in privacy setting.  Is there a setting to correct this? No answers on IE.

I would like to double check your settings, just in case.

 


  • Open Internet Options.  You can get to this from the Control Panel or by clicking the Menu button at the top right in Internet Explorer
  • The first tab that opens, General, is where we need to be.
  • Look at the bottom of the window under Browser History.
  • I have a box I can check to "Delete browsing History on exit". If there is a check here, remove it.
  • Now, click the Settings button.
  • In the new window, click the History tab.
  • Check your Daays to keep pages in history. You can adjust this up or down. If you do not want your history to be deleted, raise this as high as it will go.
