WOW no wonder you are Steve McQueen of speed. You can download Windows Insider Previews on your VMs so FAST In one breath! Just darn right amazing Daniel! ;)
Your speed has improved so that's still good speed!
Yes our speeds moved up with new plan by Spectrum . So I'm thrilled about that. It's really nice now.
The thing is most sites can't do Gigabit speed when downloading maybe except Microsoft and NVIDIA when I download the new Video Drivers but as I said most are still slow for downloads. 😠

Yes I was wondering about that. I haven't heard of 1GB speed over here yet, unless I'm behind the times...

Many sites do two to ten gigabit plus just fine from my work connection. The ISP makes the gigabit a lie because their peering arrangements either can't or intentioanlly won't handle it. Especially tends to be with AWS. That's why Comcast doesn't have gigabit service for businesses though. Because they know it's last hope only.

Hi @ nice to see you again! Yes I remember your speed test here: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Techie/Internet-Speed-tests-post-your-results/m-p/251545#M10783 are you still getting the same or have things changed?

They bumped up the price of 2gbps and dropped the error that had me getting good speed. So I originally was getting something over 2gbps consistently (about 9.2gbps testing against AWS manually) for $180, but then they changed it to "We'll call it 2gbps, but really you'll speed test at 800mbps, and download from places at 500mbps, oh, and now we'll charge you $350."

So I put in enough complaints about the speed drop that they let me out of the five year term on fiber and gave me 1000 by 35 cable link for $90 instead, and it's faster down than their messed up fiber.

Yea that's the thing price! For my Gigabit it's regularly $150.00 but I get for less then half of that in a package and mine is via Cable and we are only on DOCSIS 3.1 on the Download with 32 channels and DOCSIS 3.0 with only 3 channels on the upload. Now Bell has Gigabit both ways but i don't have Fiber to the home (FTTH) in my area, Oh well I'm happy with what I have.

With WSA active - it's the only AV solution (beside Win Defender) that don't kills Internet bandwidth. Unfortunatelly I'll give up using it - WRData getting huge issue is handled ridicoulesly, way too much hassle having to send new programs to be whitelisted everytime you're installing something unfamiliar to Webroot.
Over here, the price for 1 Gbps connection is $10.

You need some help with that. Switch over to smoke signals, it would be faster.

I got upgraded at no extra charge to 1500Mbps down and 50Mbps up recently from 1000Mbps down and 30Mbps up but my Laptops can only do 1000Mbps down so it’s waste of 500Mbps and some were saying they were getting 1700 to 1800Mbps down on the Rogers forum but I like a bit extra upload speed and they say in time it will be Symmetrical 1500Mbps up and down.

You never get what they advertise. Maybe the first month. I pay for “1 gig” up/down.

Yep, mine is supposed to be 1Gig up but 750 is about the best I've got on a wired connection.

Here’e my wireless connection right now

Not too good on the upload speed. I’m lucky I’m getting this from Cox Communications. I wish they would get Verizon Fios here in this complex.

I don’t have Fibre yet but again I couldn’t use the speed unless I got a new PC that could do those speeds it’s nuts and it’s coming.

The Future of Ignite Internet

Bringing more choice, reliability and faster speeds to Canadians, Rogers recently announced the successful completion of lab and customer trials on its fibre-powered network to deliver lightning-fast download and upload speeds of 8 Gbps, which will be available in select areas across Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland later this summer. As technology advances and Rogers completes milestones on its path towards 10 Gbps, the company continues to offer next-generation products and services to its customers, including bringing its fibre-powered network to more underserved communities and neighbourhoods.

They finely raised my upload speed to 200Mbps but I get the normal most are posting about from my ISP. My plan is 1,500Mbps Down and 200Mbps Up but my Laptops can’t do 1500Mbps down unless I get a new one, no way for now.
