My images and pdf file have been taken over by a ransomwear program.  Is there a program that I can use to convert them back from odin extension.

Thanks,
Hello raysil421,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

I am sorry to say that I do not know of any programs to reverse or convert ransomeware. Are you running Webroot?

Because in some situations where it has gotten past, Webroot Support has been able to help by way of the rollback, etc.

Please look here at what happens if Webroot misses a virus, https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/What-Happens-if-Webroot-quot-Misse...

Have a look here to read about what you need to know about Ransomeware.: http://www.webroot.com/blog/2013/12/06/cryptolocker-ransomware-need-know/

If you have Webroot then you can Submit a Support Ticket free of charge with a Webroot subscription.

Hope this helps somewhat... ? do you have anything to add here?

Personally, I wouldn't continue to use the computer and shut it down until you contact Webroot. The encryption process may not be done, as ransomware usually encypts all files, not just.jpgs and pdfs. But I don't have any first-hand experience so I could be wrong about that. Depending on the varint of the ransomware, Webroot should be able to roll back any changes but there are a lot of variables involved. There must also be enough available hard drive space for journaling to roll back as well. The best thing is to contact support and wait to see what they say. Since you might not have another PC you may have to call them in the morning. Support Number: 1-866-612-4227 M-F 7am?6pm MT
