Hello everyone!

I'm a longtime  subscriber of Webroot, but this is the first time I've come here for help.

My Q:  Is a virus scan in Safe Mode a good or bad idea?

I'm currently using  WIN 10 on a newer HP Pavillion.  Lots of problems with the OS, but right now

the biggest one  is that my curser keeps returning to the last place I had inserted it, e.g. the middle

of a sentence where I made a correction.and then finish the line or paragraph,  hit  Enter for a new line

& continuing typing only find my new line has been inserted starting with the last correction.point.

The problem is happenind if I'm "at home" or posting on other sites.

A bag-full of suggestions from my usual online sources, but no solution. Latest idea I read about was a virus scan

in Safe Mode. Good idea or bad?

.Any help much appreciated.

Hello

If you suspect an system is infected:

The best thing to do is to Open a Support Ticketand ask Webroot Support to take a look and remove this for you.  There is no charge for this if you are a WSA license holder, with a current subscription.

Can I run scan in safe mode?

1. Start your computer in Safe Mode with Networking.
