How come the Kudo Counts do not match via the, View All top kudo'd authors, and hovering over Avatar count???

So you have spotted that one? ;)

 

The question has been asked before but I will be blowed if I can remember the answer...perhaps ? can oblige?

Just had a "slow thought" perhaps the view all are a Period of time ie:Monthly count, and the Avatar/Profile is Total count?
I believe one includes kudos in private forums and the other doesn't.
