Does anyone know what happened to lightscribe, the system was quite common but seems to have just disappeared.

 

For those wondering what I'm on about, lightscribe was (is?) a system built into some optical drives enabling the label to be etched on to the coating of a lightscribe disc.

 

It seemed to me to be an elegant and simple way to label discs without mucking about with adhesive labels etc.
