It didn't cost me anything on my 2 that don't support Windows 11. For one year.

Exact how I feel about BG!! Dell wouldn't fix my Alienware 17R 4 because Windows 10 was obsolete. Probably an excuse not to fix it!🙄

It really is nuts because they knew it was Windows 10 and they said to ship it to Support and they would replace the Motherboard if needed and said they couldn't get one till last April which would waiting for 4 months or so. Then they sent it back without the acdc charging port and then I screamed about them taking it out of my PC where it's soldered to the Mother board. What the heck am I supposed to do now? I wanted it back the way I sent it and they wouldn't do it saying they can't support Windows 10 anymore.!

I never any such issues with Dell and my first was a Desktop back in 2001 and it came with XP. I only do Laptops now and don’t need any new one because my 17R5 is running Windows 11. The two on Windows 10 have another year of free updates! https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/extended-security-updates

By doing this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/back-up-and-restore-with-windows-backup-87a81f8a-78fa-456e-b521-ac0560e32338#id0ebh=windows_10

and I just did  With Windows Backup you can also back up Windows settings

Thanks for all the updates @Ssherjj on the Dell computer and their Customer Service. Sounds like the people at Dell like the old saying, “The Left hand Doesn’t Know What The Right Hand Is Doing.”  Looks like I will not buy a Dell anymore.

@ProTruckDriver  I've had some good Dell Support but not much I guess thinking back to 2015. 🤣 I loved my Alienware 17R R4. I replaced 4 drives (SSD), & Memory (Ram) 32G with @TripleHelix help. It ran for 10 years. Best laptop ever for me even with the problems.

This is crazy. I feel like you could pressure with (GPT lawyer) documentation and get them to give you a laptop.
