The latest MVPS Hosts file is being flagged in (C:\WindowsSystem32driversetc) by Hitman Pro v3.7.9 Build 240 as,...................hosts file is compromised: bat.bing.com is directed to an hardcoded IP 0.0.0.0
Below is the response I received from Mike Burgess MVPS Hosts: Have had four replys back from HMP, the last being, they are unable to find my original email with the log attached. Its been 10 days now!

It's a false positive detection ... I've had a few others bring up this issue.

I can assure you that entry is used for advertising/tracking purposes ... (not sure) but someone else mentioned that you could "Ignore" that detection in Hitman?

I've had no issues running that HOSTS file. webroot thinks it's ok, as any other anti-virus software.

You guys still use a Hosts File? I never needed to and WSA does protect the Host file from being modified and BrightCloud blocks the bad websites.

Nah, I don't but I have it available, can also download it and install it...just to try out in these sorts of circumstances. ;)
I use it for global ad blocking. In case I gotta use a browser without addons.
