Planes were grounded at a Paris airport last weekend, after a comedy of errors emanating from software underpinned by the ancient operating system, Windows 3.1.

 

Paris Orly airport closed its runway on the morning of 7 November, with flights diverted to Paris Charles de Gaulle and Lyon airports, following a critical infrastructure failure caused by a system called DECOR.

 

DECOR links air traffic control systems directly with Meteo France and is vital for taking off and landing in low-visibility situations like mist and fog.

? if it concerns a french airport can you warn me in advance :manfrustrated: then i still have time to take a day of over the weekend. Dont want to end up having to load & unload airplanes again because the entire load of freight comes to Brussels Apt again. Soo not fun to spend your weekends pushing 13-15k lbs containers into a plane :p

 

 
They are not having any fun in Paris apparently seeing just now they had a big terrorist attack there yesterday. 120+ dead and almost the same amount of criticals...

 

It's time that those religious zealots learn that payback will come. It's getting too da*n close for my comfort.
