Cannot scan my computer. Purchased a 3.5 year renewal on 10/7/2014 and now I need to renew. Why?

Have to say that I have never heard of a 3.5 year renewal. Renewl periods available vary depending on the version of WSA that one is using; 1 yr, 2 yrs or 3 yrs but not 3.5 yrs. Also, from where/with whom did you renew?
