The note was published before the Windows 10 launch on the Sony Europe site, but not everyone seems to have got the message.

Anyone discovering it now, could find the news comes a week too late, but given the serious warning, it should encourage others to hold off. We don’t get PC vendor messages like this very often:

If you do not wait for our test results before proceeding with theupgrade, some of the hardware or features on your VAIO computer may no longer work as intended. In such cases your VAIO computer may experience crashes, become unresponsive or may even suffer hardware damage. Your VAIO would then require service and you risk losing all of the data that is stored on the computer.

Hardware damage? seriously?
Very surprising news! It is however a good advert for the Nemo policy for upgrading Windows, namely "Wait until you need a new PC!"

 

I can honestly say it's always worked perfectly! 😃
