It looks like highly-anticipated media player VLC will be making its way to Windows Phone next month. Developer Thomas Nigro is planning to first release the app as a beta, just as he did with the recent Windows 8 app. Nigro is planning an August release for the first version of VLC for Windows Phone.

I personally do not have a windows phone, but I have looked into them and used 1 or 2. Nice to see more apps becoming available for those who do use them.
Its always nice to see what is out there even when not in the market for a new phone, which I am not unfortunately. I do enjoy keeping up with the industry though.
