Webroot protection for a Kindle Fire HD?

Kindle Fire HD would not boot up. Kindle tech rep said a virus got in and we ended up spending $50 to get it fixed.
Since this works off the internet is there a way to protect this from happening again? We have Webroot on both our
desk top and laptop.

    I thought Amazons support was free? Who charged you 50 to fix this issue?

    Yea really please let us know and get your money back from who ever. Webroot Support is free with a paid subscription and don't worry the PC versions on your PC's they are fine but I'm sure Rakanisheu or someone else from Webroot Support  would like to look into your issue with the Webroot Mobile App on your Kindle.
