will upgrading to windows 10 lose my Microsoft office files?

Hi and welcome to the Community ?
I did an upgrade as opposed to a clean install of W10 and lost nothing at all, all my Office files remianed intact but it would be wise to make a back up of anything important just in case the worst does happen.
