Hi all 

in case you run into a situation where your HP USB mouse suddenly does not function anymore on either Windows 8.1 or 10 don't go thrashing it...

 

Leave it connected and check your device manager for presence of a HP USB-C Displayport adapter ( even if you don't have one physically ). There's a bit of a bug circulating at the moment and i've not had a solution from Microsoft yet.

There's a workaround for it so in case you suffer the same PM me or ask here and i'll PM you the solution

 

Wether it comes from a microsoft or an hp driver update that has a bug i don't know yet. Have nudged some contacts at Microsoft & HP. More news as it comes
