Exception Message

I keep getting this message popping up on my computer screen.  It says, "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation."  It just gives me an OK to click and then tells me nothing more.  Why am I getting this message?  It seems to happen after my Webroot has scanned my computer or when I boot my computer up.

Hello cmeduna,

Welcome to the Community Forum,:D

I'm going to have to get advice with this one. I'm not sure if it's Webroot or a program that you've updated (like Java?) or a Microsoft issue.

Please be patient and I'll get TripleHelix to look at this post. I'm not sure if an uninstall/reinstall of Webroot would fix this error.

Thank you,

Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Can you describe the pop-up more and if it says what it is from (name) or any other info would be helpful? Otherwise you can Submit a Support Ticket and they can take a look and if they see anything out of the ordinary they will help you remove if it happens to be an infection or just a PUA free of charge. https://community.webroot.com/t5/Techie-KB/How-to-Remove-Potentially-Unwanted-Applications/ta-p/40744

Thanks,

Daniel 😉
