The program you mention is very poorly rated, and I find many complaints that is has been the cause of damage to computers on which it was installed.
 
The main difference is that WSA is antivirus/antimalware.  That is the main function of the software, the only focus, and so they do it very very well.  It is the smallest, lightest, fastest running AV on the market.

I would say that there is no comparison between WSA & PC Matic.  The former is an out & out antimalware security app whilst PC Matic claims (and I stress claims) to be a great PC maintenance app that also provides protection...i.e., a jack of all trades and most likely a master of none.
 
It really depends on what you are looking for.
