Why am I getting so many blocked malicious warnings when I try to logon to trusted sites like Amazon

A few weeks ago I started seeing the Webroot popup warning of a blocked website due to risk of malicious attack when trying to logon to trusted websites.  I'm wondering if I've picked up some kind of virus or malware that is trying to redirect me to a malicious site.  I've scanned my laptop several times, but it is still happening.  Any suggestions?

Hi ldadkd

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Are you say ing that you are looking to go to a site but despite you entering the correct site address you end up trying to access another site which WSA blocks as malicious?

If so then please provide an example of the site that you are trying to reach & the site that you end up being directed to/that is blocked.

For example, I navigate to www.amazon.com.  Enter my username and password to login.  Then another tab opens with the Webroot orange and black warning saying the site is blocked because of risk of malicious attack.  I click on get me back to safety and close the tab and proceed to use Amazon with no further issues.  It happens in both Google Chrome and IE.  It only happens when I attempt to login to a website.  It doesn't happen on every site or even every web session.  In fact I tried to make it happen so I could post  screen print and couldn't get it to happen.

Hi ldadkd

I have heard of this happening before, also sporadically, and I suspect that it is something that you will need to get the Support Desk to investigate for you as and when it happens again.

When that occurs please Open A Support Ticket providing a link to this thread plus any additional information that you can garner, i.e.e, the specific site that is report on the Webroot Block page would I am sure be useful as it may be that for some reason your request to access the web site in question is being malformed, etc.

And if yo do open the ticket and get assistance please post back what they say/come up with as this sort of information/feedback is of great use to us when tryingt o help other users in the future (and also because I am quite interested in this area myself...;)).

Many thanks in anticipation.

I finally was able to get a screen print of a site where I clicked a link and the warning displayed.
I went to: http://www.breasthealthonline.org/answers/reduction and I clicked the first hyperlink on the left that attempted to take me to: http://www.breasthealthonline.org/answers/reduction/item/bfar-breast-feeding-after-reduction
and then the Phishing Attack Ahead warning was displayed.

I contacted support to open a ticket.  I'll post when I have more information.
