Hello ..... The laptop I use daily has its WRSA Keycode expiring in 3 days ..... My other laptop is not used has 150 days left on its WRSA Keycode (both are the same WRSA version).

If I let my daily user laptop expire over Thanksgiving here in the U.S, (when I won't be using it until I return to town in 6 days), will I still be able to uninstall WRSA from the unused laptop with 150 days left on its Keycode and then simply input that Keycode into my daily user after I return from my Thanksgiving trek after the daily user's  WRSA has expired by 2 or 3 days?

Or, will I have to first reinstall WRSA on my daily user because it expired before transfering the Keycode with 150 days left?

Please Note: These are not the somewhat annoying Best Buy managed subscriptions.

Thanks for the help Folks.

To give you a bit more peace of mind...

Even once the one expires, even after expiration, though it will SHOW expired, it will still work and keep you safe for another 30 days.  There is a 30 day protection grace period after the expiration date, just in case.

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Hi RRod

Whilst technically that should be possible, and to do so one would normally Open a Support Ticket, asking the Support Team to do the honours... I have to profess that I am not sure in this case as usually the profile is asking them to add the time from one subscription; a new and as yet not activated one, to the one that is about to expire.  In this case both subscriptions are active.

Perhaps our most Excellent Community Manager ? can shed some light on whether it is worth opening that Support Ticket and asking the Support Team to transfer?

Regards, Baldrick

You should be fine doing it the way you suggested without having to contact support.

Thank you all ..... One less thing to rush doing before leaving town for the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S.
