When I switched on this morning I got a message saying "do you allow webroot to make changes to your hard drive" I have never seen this message before and said No.  Was this a genuine request??

Hi chrisbeas

Happy New Year...and welcome to the Community Forums.

Yes this is a genuine request but also due to a known issue which I believe that the DevelopmentTeam have resolved. It is best to accept 'Yes' to the prompt for now. You will still be totally protected by Webroot.

Would you also check as to which version of WSA you are running. The version with the fix in is v9.0.7.46. To check which version you have the quickest things is to hover your cursor ofver the WSA notification tray icon which should cause a bubble, with the information in it, to be displayed.

If you verison is not v9.0.7.46 then it is most likely that the 'push' of the update has not reached you yet, and in that case you can try to get the update manually by right clicking on the notification tray icon and selecting 'Check for updates' from the context menu displayed. That may not find anything to download so try it a few times over a few hours.

If you do not get the update and/or you are really concerned please Open a Support Ticket and get the Support Team to check it out for you. This is free of charge service for WSA users with an active subscription.

Hope that helps?

Regards, Baldrick
