Hi mike4080

Don't get me wrong...WSA provides you with very good protection for your data and the like but there is always the possibility that someone could be intercepting the open WiFi that one can connect to in public hotspots.

I am unable to provide any such information here as to the dedicated app as to do so would be contrary to Community Guidelines but if you Google something like "protection over open wifi" you will find plenty of advise as to how to stay safe over such networks.

EDIT: I should have added that of course if you have or subscribe to a VPN service and use that to connect to the internet over a public network then yo are well protected because of the VPN secure tunneling that takes place between your system and the target website. So perhaps that is something worth looking into in terms of a means of achieving what yo are lookingfor?

Hi mike4080

Happy New Year...and welcome to the Community Forums.

WSA's Identity Shiled protects you and you date on your system from all of the below:

but it does not encrypt coomunication between your system and the financial institutions, i.e., when accessing websites over public WiFi connections, as far as I know. You would need a dedicated app for that.

Would you enlighten me as to how I might install the dedicated app of which you speak?

Hi mike 4080

No worries, Glad to be able to help in some ways.

Depending on where you hail from there should be some good deals available and if you are a frequent traveler/likely to make use of such a service regularly then I would suppose that this approach would be the best option.
