Does anyone know how to get rid of a virus known as Web Core. Does Web Root protect me from it.

I could not find anything pertaining to a virus called Web Core. I therefore suspect that you are referring to a PUA or Potentially Unwanted Application, but again that is only a supposition on my part.
Given the above my recommendation would be that you Open a Support Ticket ASAP and get the Support Team to investigate this for you.
