Its 256MB of which 66,1 MB is used.
The drive is locked, even though I am admin in Win10 of the PC. I am not allowed to see the files there, and not allowed to delete the drive...
WR-AV scan is allowed though and comes back with nothing.
The only known change I am aware of was HP´s supportpersonell that wanted a short access through remotecontrol after a support case through HP Support assistant that wanted med to upgrade my bios from F25 to F35, but could not do the upgrade.
HP support couldnt help me either - of course ;)
I downloaded the upgrade manually instead and installed it, THAT process went normally.
And then I found this extra Z: drive a few hours later.
Anybody who knows how to access it? to see what files are there?, and how to then delete it?

According to HP, the BIOS upgrade leaves material on a virtual drive to work with the recoverypartition in case the BIOS upgrade malfunctions.
After yet another cold boot, the virtual drive disappeared.

Sounds to me like a virtual drive that has been created as a result of the upgrade process...does it point back to c:usersappdata...?
Have done a little bit of research on this for you and come across this article, over at the MS Support Forums, which may be of use to you. Have a look and post back if it does not and you need more assistance.

+22I confirme that, a windows 10 install generates a locked partitiony you should not play with, it's needed for downgrading e.g.
Interestingly, yeoldfart, I have not seen a locked partition on either of my upgrades to Windows 10...so I am thinking that it is linked to something else. But who knows...it is one of the mysteries of systems & software...LOL ;)

However its NOT an upgrade to Win10, it came with the HP PC. Alson the locked drive was only 256MB with 66MB used, not much to "downgrade/backup" an OS with?
The only things that I can add when thinking hard, was the manual BIOS upgrade, perhaps, perhaps its somekind of backup in case the BIOS upgrade did not work?
The other possibility which is right in time was the remote session with the HP support rep?

No it does not point anywhere as far as I can see. But I dont see much as I cant really do anything with the Z-drive except an AV-search (that says its ok).
I checked out the article too, the tips there gave nothing.
I´ll post back as this progresses.
