Since I've been using Webroot, Mac OSX no longer backs up using Time Machine without complaining that Webroot has found malwrare it identifies as
....system/library/extensions/AppleKextExludeList.kext
which Webroot identifies as a "KeyLogger.SpectorPro.r" and of course Webroot wants to remove the threat which Webroot will not let me do, but instead "quarantines" it.
Thus.......Time Machine backup always fails.
Anyone ever test Webroot on a Mac which has Apple's Time Machine software on it....or does anyone know what's going on with that?
Trying to reach Support was it's own frustrating effort, so I have un-installed Webroot until this matter is cleared up. I am now wondering who, if anyone, is using Webroot on OSX and whether they've encountered this bit of absurdity.
