Windows 7 HP, Firefox 47.0.1.  I'm goingt o leave my text as it comes sothat  you can see the problem.

this bad spacing is caused by a terriblek ey lag, a problem I've been experiencing constantlyw hen typing in Firefoxb rowser ever since I installed the free triall version of Webroota ntivirus two days ago.  ifi  disable webroot thel ag goes awya but it returns the moment I re-enablei t.  I cannot recreate the problem in Chrome so it doess eem to be a Firefox thing.  I have triedup dating my firefox but it keeps tellinge m I'm up-to-date.  see how letters come outin  the wrong order as well as the spaces?

isth erea ny fix for this?i   am otherwise thrilled with webroot but this is unacceptable.

Thanks,

Nova.

Hello Nova,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Would you mind doing an uninstall/clean install of Webroot. This will only take 5 minutes to do?

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and do NOT import any settings if offered by the installer as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
If you still have issues you can always Submit a Support Ticket free of charge.

Thanks,

Thanks for your fast reply!  I've just installed the fresh copy and it's currently doing the initial scan.  I'll let you know how it goes!

Reinstall procedure complete and the problem appears to be resolved!  Do you know why that would have happened?  I didn't do anything differently the first time and I downloaded the first version directly from the official website.

That definitely seems to have done the job though, thank you!  If the problem should reoccur I'll open a ticket.

Thanks again!

Hi there Nova,

That's great to hear. Sometimes an install can get corrupt and usually a clean reinstall will help out most issues. Sorry you did have this issue but thank you for lertting us know.

And you are most welcome!
